escafeism:

What if the Prince only came to wake Aurora up? What if he only came to her, and used his lips to break the spell but he never really intended to stay? What if to him it was only a “rescue mission” and was never really a “happily ever after”.

What if the Prince looked at Aurora, deep in her slumber, and knew he had the power to save her? What if the Prince looked at her and saw her pain, understood how lonely it must have been, and that she needs to be saved? What if it was pity disguised as love?

What if the Prince did not know that the real curse was waking up? What if it was waking up and realizing all the things she already lost in time? What if it was waking up so disoriented; not knowing where and how to start.

What if Aurora was better off asleep, numb and unaware of her tragic reality? What is she was better off asleep, without the acquaintance of his lips, without having to read the sympathetic expression in his eyes? What if she was better off asleep and not knowing; because her reality is so much worse that any curse cast in this world.
